Detailed description of Dunham Hills Golf Club

Dunham Hills Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Hartland, Michigan.

Dunham Hills golf course first opened for play in 1967. The par-71 course was designed by August Kranites.

Dunham Hills is a very mature, traditional style course with rolling tree-lined fairways and very undulating and smooth greens. The greens roll true and fast - stay below the hole! You will use every club in your bag on this course. Undulating tree-lined fairways demand accuracy off the tee and on approaches to well groomed green complexes.

On Property practice facilities include two putting greens, a grass (and mat) range, and a practice sand bunker. Amenities also include ball and club washers on each cart.

Championship tees: 6,715 yards, course rating 72.5, slope rating 128.

Middle tees: 6,291 yards, course rating 69.9, slope rating 124.

Forward tees: 5,310 yards, course rating 70.7, slope rating 116.

#1 - a tree-lined par four with a lone front bunker and a green sloped left to right. Length is not as important as accuracy here.

#2 - is a long par five that doglegs left. There is a hidden pond about 40 yards from the green on the left side, making this a tight approach.

#3 - a long par four presents a narrow, undulating fairway that slopes right to left . At 451 from the blue tees, this is one of the toughest holes of the layout.

#4 - a 427 yard par four.

#5 - an uphill par three.

#6 - the number 1 handicap on the course is a par four that plays 465 from the blues, 447 from the whites, and 415 from the forward tees. The fairway is quite open, though the approach does narrow.

#9 - is a beautiful closing hole. There is a pond on the left side about 70 yards from the green. The best move is to lay up to the center on this short par four.

#10 - a par-4 with a rolling fairway along this dogleg left. There is room right, but you will be playing uphill and will not be able to clearly see that flag from that side.

#11 - an extremely tight and long par three (233 blues; 215 whites).

#12 - par-5 ample room off the tee, with an approach to an elevated green that is nestled between tall strands of trees.

#13 - par 5 ample room off the tee, doglegs left and plays downhill.

#14 - the hardest hole on the course. A 447 yard par that features a water hazard on the left about 190 yards out - that is not visible from the blue and white tees. The best approach is from just right of the 150-yard stake in the center of the fairway.

#16 - par-3 that demands a carry over water, but is relatively easy once you fly the hazard. #17 - a dogleg right with the fairway sloping noticeably towards the left side. The approach is tight, to a long and narrow putting surface.

#18 - a score-able par four that plays uphill all the way to the green.
